Children’s Day Celebration 2024-25

Children’s Day was celebrated with great joy in our school on 14th November 2024. The day began with a special assembly conducted by the teachers, surprising and delighting the students. Our Principal, Smt. Usha V R, inspired the children with her motivational words, and a group song by the teachers added to the excitement.
Highlights included a fancy-dress competition for kindergarten and a dance competition for classes 1 and 2. For the first time, students of classes 1 to 5 enjoyed a “No Books Day” with creative activities like origami, colouring, and greeting card making, showcasing their talents.
The celebrations embodied Jawaharlal Nehru’s vision that “The children of today will make the India of tomorrow.” It was a memorable and enriching day for all!

PDSSC Kho-Kho Championship 2024-2025

The championship, hosted by Vyasa Vidya Peethom, Kallekkad, Palakkad on 18th November witnessed thrilling matches and excellent sportsmanship. Our school proudly secured the 2nd runner-up positions in both Under-19 Boys and Under-16 Girls categories.
This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and teamwork of our players and coaches. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the teams for bringing pride to our school.

Grandparents Day 2024

On October 1, 2024, our school celebrated the International Day for Older Persons as "Grandparents' Day," honoring the special bond between generations. The event began with a heartfelt prayer song, followed by a warm welcome speech from our esteemed principal, Smt. Usha V.R. The celebration continued with a delightful dance performance and a group song by our UKG students, capturing the joy and excitement of the day.

To add more fun and excitement, games like "Lucky Corner" and "Balloon Blowing" were organized for the grandparents. Their enthusiastic participation brought a vibrant energy to the celebration, with everyone eager to take part and win. The winners were recognized and awarded mementos as tokens of appreciation.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by the HOD of Kindergarten, Smt. Sindhu R., marking the end of a memorable and joyous celebration that left everyone with warm hearts and cherished memories.

District Level CBSE kalotsav 2024-2025

KALARANG 2k24 (PDSSC Kalotsav) was held at St. Dominic's Convent English Medium School, Sreekrishnapuram on 26, 27 and 28 September 2024. 59 students from our school participated in the same. We got the Second prize for Recitation Arabic (Category II) for Eshal Fathima A of Grade VII. We also got the Third prize for Essay writing Hindi (Category III) for Sabarinath R of Grade X and One Act Play - English (Common Category). Apart from these achievements, we secured 37 A Grades, 14 B Grades, and 6 C Grades.

25th Yogasana Competition 2024-25

The 25th Yogasana Competition, organized by the Palakkad District Yoga Association, was held on 29th September 2024 at Vysa Vidya Peethom, Kallekad. Our school excelled in the competition, winning the Best Yoga Student of the School award, shared by the following students:

Seminar: “Teaching in the New Age”

On 11th September 2024, the JCI Club, Olavakode Branch, organized a seminar on "Teaching in the New Age", conducted by Mr. Srijit S. Nair, Chairman of BDS Academy. The session was attended by high school students and teachers and focused on the evolving landscape of education.

Mr. Nair emphasized the importance of adapting teaching methods to the digital age, incorporating technology, and fostering critical thinking among students. The seminar also inspired students to set meaningful goals and work towards achieving them in this rapidly changing world. The event provided valuable insights into the future of education and the role of teachers in shaping it.

Teachers’ Day Celebration 2024

On 5th September 2024, we joyfully celebrated Teachers' Day, honouring the individuals who continually inspire and guide us—our teachers. The day was filled with enthusiasm, gratitude, and happiness as the school came together to pay tribute to its educators.

The celebration began with an inspiring appreciation speech by our Principal, Smt. Usha V.R., who highlighted the invaluable contributions of teachers in shaping the future. This was followed by the Teachers' Day Oath Ceremony, where both teaching and non-teaching staff were acknowledged for their dedication. As a token of gratitude, the management presented gifts to all staff members.

The festivities truly came alive with a series of vibrant programs organized by students from various classes. They showcased their talent through dance performances, skits, and entertaining fun games, which filled the atmosphere with excitement and joy. The laughter and energy throughout the event made it a memorable day for everyone.

It was a beautiful celebration, reflecting the deep bond between students and teachers, and a reminder of the positive impact educators have on our lives.

INDEPENDENCE DAY 2024-25

The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 15th August 2024 at our school. The program commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony, led by our School Principal, Mrs. Usha V R. In her address, she emphasized the importance of freedom and paid tribute to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters.

The celebration included a vibrant patriotic dance, which added to the spirit of the day. The event was made even more special by the presence of the Chief Guest from the Rotary Club, Palakkad branch, who addressed the audience and awarded the students with mementos for their achievements in various school competitions.

A captivating pyramid formation by our students left the audience in awe, followed by a soulful patriotic song performed by our school choir. The program concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem, marking the end of a memorable Independence Day celebration.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2024-25

The Investiture Ceremony at Nilgiri Public School on 13th August 2024 was a moment of immense pride and celebration. The event, conducted with great dignity and honour, saw the official installation of our School Head Boy, Head Girl, Assistant Head Boys, and Assistant Head Girls by our esteemed Principal. The respective House Captains and Assistant Captains were also proudly adorned with their badges by their House Teachers.

The ceremony included the solemn oath-taking by our newly elected student leaders, symbolizing their commitment to their roles and responsibilities. This was followed by the highly anticipated inauguration of our School Cultural Meet, which was received with great enthusiasm and excitement by all present.

The program concluded on a note of hope and excitement, marking the beginning of a new chapter of leadership and cultural activities at Nilgiri Public School.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY – 2024

On June 21, 2024, Nilgiri Public School Celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm, hosting a variety of engaging activities. The program began with an insightful speech by our school Principal, emphasizing the importance of incorporating yoga into our daily lives. This was followed by a detailed explanation about yoga by one of our students.

The event became even more vibrant and informative with students displaying placards during the speeches. Following this, students demonstrated different types of asanas, showcasing their skill and dedication. To add an element of excitement, a yoga dance performance was also presented by the students.

To underscore the significance of yoga and encourage its practice, everyone took the Yoga Day pledge. The event was a resounding success, promoting the value of yoga and its benefits.

AWARD FEST – CBSE – AISSE (2023-2024)

Nilgiri Public School held an award ceremony on June 11, 2024, to honor students who excelled in the CBSE AISSE 2023-2024 exams. Brigadier K. Balasubramanian (Retd) graced the event as the chief guest and delivered an inspiring speech on discipline and perseverance. Awards, including certificates, medals, and trophies, were presented to the top performers. The ceremony also featured cultural performances by the students, adding a festive touch. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Brigadier Balasubramanian, the teachers, parents, and students for their contributions to the event's success.

ENVIRONMENT DAY 2024-2025

On June 5th, 2024 “The Environment Day “was celebrated in our school in a very grand manner. The theme of this year Environment Day was “Land restoration, desertification and drought resilience”.

It was conveyed through speech, placards, poster making competition, seed bomb etc. It was also a cherishing moment for our school’s Eco–club as the active members and convenors of the club were appreciated by giving momentos. It was followed by an Environmental Day Oath where we promised to keep our environment clean, safe and beautiful.

FRESHERS DAY – 2024

" Kindergarten: where little hands have big ideas and hearts are full of wonder.”

A Cheerful ‘Welcome” helps kindergarten children for a positive start to their school journey. Our school organized “ FRESHER’S DAY, to welcome the tiny toddlers to the new academic year and create a positive impact, comfort and eagerness for kindergarten children to come to school happily.
Light is considered as very sacred and a symbol of prosperity, in the same way as sunlight not only dispels the darkness of night, it brings blessings and happiness into our lives. The inauguration of event started by kindling the lamp by our respected principal madam, Usha V R along with the kids, who were the first to join our school this year.

To keep the students entertained, some cheerful dances and other programmes were conducted for two days, which the kids enjoyed with excitement. The show was hosted by our school students with great zeal and zest.
Overall the event laid a platform to create a bonding between students, teachers and our dear new upcoming stars.

TEACHERS TRAINING PROGRAMME BY RATNA SAGAR

On May 31st, 2024,  Nilgiri public school hosted a dynamic teacher training programme in collaboration with Ratna sagar, aimed at equipping educators with cutting-edge pedagogical techniques and innovative teaching strategies. The session, led by esteemed educator Mr. Jijo James, was a pivotal initiative to foster professional development among faculty members.

17th Annual Day – January 27, 2024

The 17th Annual Day at Nilgiri Public School on January 27th was an occasion of pride and celebration, as students, faculty, alumni, and distinguished guests gathered to commemorate another year of academic and cultural excellence.

The presence of esteemed guests, including the Additional Superintendent of Police, Excise Officer, and the Panchayath President, added gravitas to the event, underscoring the importance of education and community engagement.
As a nod to academic achievement, proficiency certificates were awarded to deserving students, recognizing their dedication and hard work throughout the year. These certificates serve as a testament to the commitment of both students and educators to strive for excellence in all endeavors.

REPUBLIC DAY 2023-24

Republic Day holds a special place in the hearts of Indians as it commemorates the day when the Constitution of India came into effect in 1950. This historic occasion signifies the transition of India to a republic, boasting a democratically-elected government and a written Constitution that embodies values such as democracy, secularism, and unity.

In the Republic Day assembly, the principal honored the occasion by unfurling the national flag, symbolizing unity and patriotism among the students and staff. The flag salute was followed by the uplifting rendition of "Jhanda Ooncha Rahe Hamara," filling the assembly with a sense of pride and national spirit.

At Nilgiri PublicSchool, the spirit of Pongal transcends cultural boundaries, as students and staff come together to celebrate this vibrant harvest festival with enthusiasm and joy. The teachers contributed to the celebration by crafting intricate rangoli designs and partaking in the traditional practice of boiling rice in a pot, enhancing the cultural experience for students and fostering a sense of unity within the school community. Engaging cultural performances, including traditional dances and music, showcase the diverse talents of students and promote cultural exchange.

 

Palakkad District Sahodaya Athletic Meet 2023-2024

In a stellar display of athletic prowess, our school's students, Preethi S from Grade X and Mahaddev. S from Grade 6, have made significant contributions to our sporting achievements.

Preethi S emerged as an individual champion at the Palakkad District Sahodaya School Complex Athletic Meet, clinching first place in both the 100 meters and 200 meters running races(Under 16 girls), along with a commendable second place in high jump. Her exceptional skills, coupled with dedication, showcase the spirit of excellence within our school's athletic community. Mahaddev. S, equally impressive, secured the 3rd place in the 200 meters running race (under 12 boys), adding to the collective success of our school's athletes.

Heartfelt congratulations to both students for their outstanding performances, and appreciation to their parents and our Physical Education Teachers for their support and guidance. Together, they have brought glory to our school on the athletic stage.

Christmas Celebration 2023-2024

At Nilgiri public school, Christmas was celebrated in grand style! The festive spirit was enhanced by a stunning Christmas tree and decorations. The campus sparkled with holiday magic as the beautifully adorned tree became a centerpiece of joy. The decorations added a touch of enchantment, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that complemented the overall Christmas celebration.

The principal's speech set the festive tone, and kindergarten students charmed in Christmas attire. Many students turned into "Christmas Papas," spreading joy. Grades 6 to 10 showcased incredible talents with lively dances, soulful carols, and heartwarming skits, making it a memorable celebration that brought the entire school community together.

Palakkad District Sahodaya Kho-Kho Championship 2023-2024

Our school excelled in the Palakkad District Sahodaya Kho-Kho Championship 2023-2024, held at Vyasa Vidya Peethom, Kallekkad with the girls clinching 2nd place and the boys securing 3rd.

The achievement reflects exceptional teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship, boosting school spirit. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to both the girls' and boys' Kho-Kho teams for their exceptional achievements. Special thanks go to the coaches and support staff who played a crucial role in guiding and nurturing our athletes. Seminar on NEP/NCF

The school's social science department organized a seminar on the National Education Policy (NEP) and National Curriculum Framework (NCF). The discussion covered NEP's goals of universalizing education and NCF's focus on child-centric learning. Both were commended for fostering creativity and critical thinking. Challenges discussed included infrastructural limitations for NEP and the need for teacher capacity building for NCF. The seminar provided valuable insights into the transformative potential and practical challenges of implementing these educational reforms.

Facilitated by our school teacher Mrs. Steffi Haroon, the seminar focused on empowering educators to assist students in making informed career choices. Key topics included understanding student interests, exploring career options, and fostering collaboration with parents. The session also provided insights into available universities and courses, underscoring the teacher's crucial role in guiding students. This seminar served as a valuable resource for our school's educators, enhancing their ability to navigate and support students in their career journeys.

KG sports and literary meet 2023-2024

The literary and sports meet for KG was a vibrant event, showcasing the young talents of our kindergarten students. From engaging storytelling sessions to adorable sports activities, the day was filled with laughter and enthusiasm. The little ones participated eagerly in mini races and games. It was a delightful celebration of both literary and physical achievements, fostering a love for learning and an active lifestyle from a young age.

In addition to the literary and sports events, a memory test was conducted during the KG meet. The children participated in age-appropriate memory challenges, stimulating cognitive development. It was heartening to witness their growing abilities and the joy they experienced in these engaging activities.

Outstanding Achievements in State Kalotsav – 2023-2024

We are delighted to announce that Nilgiri Public school has once again showcased its excellence in the cultural arena at the State Kalotsav 2023 held at Sree Sarada Vidyalaya, Kalady, Ernakulam. English Elocution - First Prize (Ameya Manikath, Grade IV)

Ameya's eloquence, confidence, and command over the English language were truly remarkable. Her performance stood out, earning her the top spot in a highly competitive field. This achievement not only reflects Ameya's dedication but also showcases the depth of talent within our school.

Children’s Day

The Children's Day celebration at our school was a delightful event, filled with joy and enthusiasm. The morning assembly, conducted by the teachers, set a vibrant tone for the day, bringing together the entire school community.

Activities kicked off with lively competitions, engaging students across different grade levels. Classes LKG to Grade 2 showcased their talents in a cinematic dance competition, displaying creativity and coordination that captivated the audience.

The highlight for Grades 3 to 5 was the Fancy Dress Competition, where students embraced their imaginative side with colorful costumes and expressive performances. The event not only encouraged artistic expression but also fostered a sense of camaraderie among the students.

The competitions were a testament to the school's commitment to nurturing both academic and creative skills in its students. The dedication of teachers and the active participation of students made the Children's Day celebration a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

Glorious achievements in district level CBSE kalotsav 2023-2024

PRAGATHI 2023-2024 (PDSSC Kalotsav) was held at Ahalia Campus, Palakkad on 5,6 and 7 October 2023. 59 students from our school participated in the same. We got the First prize for English Elocution (Category I) for Ameya Manikath of Grade IV and English Skit (Common Category). We also got the Third prize for PowerPoint Presentation (Category III) for Naina Leslie and S Ashna of Grade X and Folk dance single (Category II) for Nakshathra J of Grade VII. Apart from these achievements we secured 39 A Grades, 18 B Grades, 14 C Grades.

Teacher’s Day

Dr. Radhakrishnan was not only a great academic philosopher, but also a well-known diplomat, a scholar, and above all, a teacher. As a tribute to this great teacher, his birthday is observed as Teachers’ Day in India. Teachers’ Day was celebrated in our school with pomp and grandeur.

The teachers’ room was beautifully decorated by the students for Teachers’ Day. The Principal gave a speech on Dr. Radhakrishnan and the role of teachers in shaping the society and also appreciated the sincerest efforts of the teachers in playing a catalytic role in the holistic development of every student The Principal of the school read out the 10 oaths written by Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, and all the teachers took the pledge to do their best as teachers and serve the nation.

 On this special occasion students of Grade X arranged some fun games for the teachers to entertain them. All the teachers enjoyed and appreciated the program. Thus, the entire celebration paved a new hope for teachers to rejoice the journey as a teacher.

ONAM CELEBRATION

Onam an ancient festival which is one of the rarest festivals which is celebrated by a complete State, irrespective of religion, caste and creed. The beauty of the festival lies in its secular fabric. People of all religions, castes and communities celebrate the festival with equal joy and verve. Onam also helps to create an atmosphere of peace and brotherhood. Our school celebrated Onam with all its vigor on the school premises amidst much fanfare involving staff and management of the school.

V.R. Usha, Principal, addressed the gathering and conveyed greetings and wishes of the festival. Kintergarten children dressed themselves in the Onam attire. We had a young, handsome Mahabali spreading the message of happiness and prosperity. Onam festivities included various competitions ( House wise) like Tug of War, Onapattu and Pookkalam were organized.

The winners were also announced. The students and teachers celebrated this special day in gaiety and warmth. Everything put together gave a cultural ambience to the environment and the atmosphere was of festivity and colour. The festivities concluded with a sumptuous Onam feast.

HEARTFELT ONAM WISHES TO ALL FROM CADENCE READING CLUB MEMBERS

KHO KHO

Sports play a major role in shaping the personality of a child. We always provide students with the best possible opportunities in their early sporting lives. Getting on the way, an "Inter House Kho-Kho Competition" was organised for the students of grades 6 to 10. Students of all four houses (Green, Red, White & Blue) played a fair game with true team spirit. Green House grabbed the first position for both the girls and boys category. White House and Red House stood 2nd in girls and boys category respectively . It was a fun-filled experience for them.

Independence Day

The 77th Independence Day was celebrated in our school on 15th August with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The school campus was beautifully decorated with flags to commemorate the day. All the students and teachers gathered in the school premises at 9 a.m. in the morning.

In the presence of a gleeful gathering, the National Flag was hoisted by the Secretary of Nilgiri educational trust Mr. Elangovan. K. A solemn speech was given by the Principal to pay homage to the brave martyrs of the country. The students from grade 6 to 10 did march past and performed mass drill.

After that, melodious patriotic songs were sung by the students. Cultural activities such as dance and music performances, and speeches were organized by the school. Sweets and chocolates were distributed to everyone. The program ended by singing the National Anthem.

STUDENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Our School organized a student development program on 22nd July (Saturday), 2023 in our school campus from 10.30 am to 1 pm.
The speaker of this program was Mr. A.M. Prabhakaran Nair (Rtd. Deputy director, FCRI Kanjikode). The program was co-ordinated by Sri. V Krishnan Kutty (Sri Sathya Sai Seva organaisation district incharge)
The main topic of the day was STEP(Success Through Empowerment Process), Value-based living – the key to success and self-motivation for successful living.

The presenter who himself is a source of motivation to students gave encouraging examples from his own life and inspired students to be a self-motivator. He discussed the importance of positive thinking and attitude which brings optimism into life and such constructive changes can make one brighter and more successful. This program helped students to be guided by a positive mind and driven by self-motivation.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

“Yoga is not for only one – it’s for everyone, Yoga is not for a day- it’s for every day.”

International Yoga Day is observed every year on June 21 to raise awareness about this ancient practice and to celebrate the physical and spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world. Yoga is a practice which plays an important role in relaxing the mind and body and boosting people’s immune systems. On 21st June 2023, our school celebrated the 9th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm.

A special assembly on the theme ‘ONE WORLD ONE HEALTH’ was conducted, wherein the ‘INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY’ was celebrated zestfully. Our principal delivered a speech on the importance of Yoga and the Significance of Yoga Day. A group of students who were yoga students performed several asanas.

SPORTS MEET

Sports is the celebration of the human spirit and youth; it not only inspires young minds but also teaches good values and ethics to young students. Our school, celebrated sports meet -2023, amidst great enthusiasm and camaraderie

The sports events like Running races, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, long jump, High jump, and Relay were conducted for various categories. Chess competition was also conducted for classes V to X. All the students were very excited about the day and the activities that were going to be carried out throughout the day

All the houses were awarded points on the basis of performance and several criteria. the principal appreciated the efforts and enthusiasm of all the students towards the event and congratulated the winning students and the winning house for all their efforts.

LITERARY MEET

Our school organized a Literary Week from the 19th to the 24th of June, 2023, during which an array of competitions was held that catered to nurturing love and appreciation for literature, boosting creativity, and inculcating a reading habit in the students.

It was a week of flurry and excitement, with the children being fruitfully engaged and getting exposure to literature in different ways from the modern to the old masters. The Prizes were announced as and when the competitions were over.

As a part of Literary Week reading club is organized with the students of classes VIII to X and five teachers from various departments.

ENVIRONMENT DAY – 2023

The world environment day is celebrated every year on 5th June to raise global awareness to take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet earth. It is a day that reminds everyone on the planet to get involved in environment friendly activities. In the assembly, the principal of our school gave a very good and well-researched speech about how the condition of our environment today is and why we need to be aware. She also told us what steps we should take immediately so that we can make our environment healthy. The eco club members handed over saplings to our principal as a token of responsibility. Many saplings were planted in the school campus by the eco club members.

The first day at school, where their schooling begins plays an important role in child’s life. Our school organized “FRESHER’S DAY, to welcome the tiny toddlers to the new academic year and create a positive impact, comfort and eagerness for kindergarten children to come to school happily.
Light is considered as very sacred and a symbol of prosperity, in the same way as sunlight not only dispels the darkness of night, it brings blessings and happiness into our lives. The inauguration of event started by kindling the lamp by our respected principal madam, V.R Usha along with the kids, who were the first to join our school this year.
To keep the students entertained, some cheerful dances and other programmes were conducted for two days, which the kids enjoyed with excitement. Auditorium was decked up with colourful balloons and the show was hosted by our school students with great zeal and zest.
Overall the event laid a platform to create a bonding between students, teachers and our dear new upcoming stars.

CBSE CLASS 10TH RESULT MARCH – 2023

Success breeds Success. Our school made another remarkable achievement. We are proud to say that in our tenth consecutive batch our 10th students have given us 100% results. Congratulations to all our students and dedicated teachers!

National Sports Day

“Hard earned victories taste sweeter.

To commemorate the birth anniversary of the hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand, National Sports Day is celebrated across the country on 29 August. This auspicious day was celebrated at our school premises to spread awareness on the importance of sports and physical activities in every individual’s life. Mr. Samod, the Physical Education master threw some light on the life style of the Hockey maestro, widely regarded as the greatest in the history of sports. He explained the significance of sports in our daily life as well. Students of classes VI to X performed the mass drill with great enthusiasm and zeal.

CHILDRENS DAY

“Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of our nation and the citizens of tomorrow.” Jawaharlal Nehru
November 14 is celebrated as Children’s Day every year in India. The special day is celebrated in remembrance of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, born on November 14, 1889. He was also known as Pandit Nehru. Nehru, who was fondly called Chacha Nehru or simply Chachaji, was very popular amongst children for his love.
A day marking childhood, and to make this event a memorable for our little ones, this day focuses on children and their enjoyment. This day commemorated with immense joy, enthusiasm and magnificence. The celebrations began with the special Morning Assembly by the teachers. As a part of Children’s Day, a Fancy Dress Competition was conducted for the students of Grade I to V. The students participated in huge numbers and showcased their versatility. Children also participated with a lot of enthusiasm and displayed their confidence while speaking. Their innocent words and stage presence won the hearts of teachers and judges. Slow cycling and craft competitions were conducted for the students of Grade VI to X. The students were overwhelmed and enjoyed the day.

 

Annual Sports Meet 2022-2023

We face the different phases in our lives with determination, discipline and sincerity. We have set the spirit of Harmony and progress. Sports is one of the wonderful ways to instill these qualities among the young minds. The much awaited Annual Sports Day was held on Tuesday 6 th December 2022, with great zeal, good spirits and excitement and frolicsome atmosphere.

The events took place in the spacious playground of the school. A comfortable temporary sitting arena was constructed for the dignitaries, parents and students to sit and enjoy the day. Students of various grades participated in the sports day. The Principal of the school inaugurated the events with an inaugural address, by hoisting the flag and by releasing balloons into the sky.
Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life. The Investiture ceremony was held with great enthusiasm and dignity. The elected leaders were conferred with badges and sashes by honorable Principal Mam. She congratulated the members of Student Council and advised them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties.The student council took the pledge to hold the school motto in high esteem.
The Sports Day started with the march past of the four different houses. After the march past, the cultural programmes included mass drill and lezim dance that were very warmly and enthusiastically received by the audience. The students of the four different houses competed against each other in sports events like , 100 metres race, 200 metres race, 400 metres race and 1500 metres race, long jump, javelin throw, shot put and relay races. The Principal gave away prizes to the participants as and when the competitions got over. The teachers were also given an opportunity to participate in events like 100 metres race, shot put and Potato gathering . The teachers enjoyed the participation without any hesitation.
In the end, the Principal thanked everyone for their presence and support, and congratulated the students for their exceptional performances.

FARMERS DAY

Farmers day was observed on 17th august 2022 , Ist of Malayalam month chingam. Students from Std VI performed a tableau, Which the depicted the life of a farmer. In relation to it ECO club members planted saplings in the school premises under the supervision of Eco Club. Teachers Mrs. Nabeera , Mrs. Ajitha and our principal supported the activities.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

75th Independence day was celebrated in our school premises. Sri. Elangovan, Secretary Nilgiri Educational Trust was the chief guest. The flag was hosted by him. Students of classes VI to X performed march past and mass drill. The toppers of CBSE STD X (AISSE) March 2022 was honoured by the guests on the dais. Other cultural activities were also performed by our students.

CBSE Class 10th result MARCH – 2022

March 2022 Std.X (AISSE) results were indeed excellent. The ninth batch also came out with 100% result. Congratulations to all our students and dedicated teachers!

DOLLS DAY

“Dolls are not just toys, but a great way for children to express their feelings.” This year the children of KG expressed their happiness by bringing their dolls, displaying them and playing all over the ground in great passion, along with the teachers and principal madam who guided them.

LITERARY MEET

The literary competitions were held for all classes from standard I to X and all the children participated with full of spirit.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

This year, International yoga day was celebrated in our school on June 21st as the whole world did with great passion. Surya namaskar and some standing asanas were performed by higher class students, as well as the smaller children to remain fit and improve concentration.

With the citation, “Small hands can change the world”, the environment day was celebrated with the chief guests, Mr. Vinoth kumar and Mr. Vijimon agricultural officers from Krishi Bhavan, who also distributed some saplings to the children and also spoke to the children about “Environment Day” and its facts.

Inpsire club, a club to mould them for future challenges, life, career etc. was inaugurated by Mr. Abdhul Basith, Excise officer. Whose inspiring words were extremely mind blowing and provocative.

BLOOMING DAY-2022-2023 (FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL)

Like Wong said, the first day of our school was with utmost excitement. The school is a place where the students gets basic training and comes in contact with people of different temperament ideas and habits. It was a colourful day with colourful decorations.

FRESHERS DAY

This year 2021-22 was a great comeback for all the freshers from std LKG to STD VII because all the children were given a great and warm welcome by the teachers by giving them life-skill classes, storytelling, games, and also paper art work, which showed their longingness and love towards the school and they happily enjoyed all the days spent at these times.

ENGLISH FEST

“English is the light of the mind”
The English Fest was conducted by the Department of English with lots of passion towards the language. The inauguration was done by principal mam, V. R. Usha.
Std VI to X students participated in various competitions such as English song, news reading, spell bee, proverb telling, role play etc., and each and every child’s performance was spell bound in every aspect and also they enjoyed it to the core.

NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY-2022

“Science is a beautiful gift to humanity; we should not distort it” – APJ Abdul Kalam.
As the thought says, this year the Science Day, “Eureka Minds” was celebrated on 28.02.22 with great pomp and show by the Science Department.
Handwritten science magazine, “Kurios” prepared by the children was released by our respected principal mam, V. R. Usha.
The herbal garden, “Aroghya” was inaugurated by our respected Principal Mam was a splendid one which nurtured the minds of the children to have a green, clean, and healthy environment.
Still-model making competition on waste management named “Inowiz” showed the skills of the children that showed how waste can be managed in different ways.
The children also had Science Quiz Competition for classes 6 to 10, which the children participated with great enthusiasm.
The Jet Aerospace Aviation and Research Centre, Kanjikode exhibited and demonstrated aviation equipments and also showed a sky-high view of the drone to all the students which stole the show.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION (2021)

 The arrival of the month of December reminds us of celebrations especially Christmas. It is a great occasion in the ending month of the year and this year our school celebrated Christmas virtually for std I to VII and the students of 8, 9 and 10 sang Christmas Carol, danced for some beautiful numbers and also a marvelous skit was given by them. The beauty of the occasion, the crib and also the Santa Claus who danced and distributed the candies to all the children with cheer was a remarkable one.

INDEPENDENCE DAY (2021)

On Independence Day, a virtual flag hoisting was done by our Principal mam, followed by a motivational speech and then a synchronised display of dance, speech and songs by the students were noteworthy.

ENVIRONMENT DAY 2021

On June 5th our students and teachers observed Environmental Day even though they are in their respective homes. A virtual message of Dr. Sudhodhanan was passed on to the students.

All the students participated in the observation of Environmental Day by planting saplings and seedlings. The students of the higher classes also prepared slogans, posters, quotations and proverbs on this day.
